3Q Recruitment is recruiting a Clinical Nurse Manager 1 (Intellectual Disabilities) to join a new, community-based Multidisciplinary Health Team in Dublin 1.

This role supports adults with intellectual, physical or sensory disabilities who are transitioning from homelessness into stable, supported community living. Many service users present with complex health, mental health, addiction and social exclusion needs.

This is a senior nursing role combining clinical leadership, caseload management and integrated community nursing, with a strong focus on dignity, independence and long-term stability.


About the Service

The service operates within a rights-based, recovery-led model of care, delivering integrated health supports through collaboration with:

  • Disability services

  • Housing and homelessness services

  • Addiction and mental health teams

  • Community and voluntary organisations

The team works proactively to reduce hospital admissions and support sustainable community living.


Role Details

  • Job Title: Clinical Nurse Manager 1 (Intellectual Disabilities)

  • Location: Dublin 1 (community and outreach-based)

  • Hours: 35 hours per week (part-time considered)

  • Working Pattern: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–8:00pm (flexibility required)

  • Contract: Fixed Term – 5 years (subject to funding)

  • Salary: €61,443 per annum

  • Annual Leave: 25 days per year (pro rata, excluding bank holidays)


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical leadership, supervision and mentorship within the MDT

  • Complete comprehensive nursing assessments, care planning and reviews

  • Manage a clinical caseload with accurate and timely documentation

  • Advocate for adults with intellectual disabilities using a person-centred approach

  • Work collaboratively with housing, addiction, disability and mental health services

  • Embed trauma-informed, harm-reduction and evidence-based practice

  • Ensure compliance with NMBI, HSE, HIQA, MHC and NDA standards

  • Contribute to audits, service evaluation and quality improvement initiatives

  • Support staff induction, supervision, training and ongoing CPD


Essential Requirements

  • Registration (or eligibility) on the Intellectual Disability Division of NMBI

  • Minimum 3 years post-registration experience, including at least 1 year in ID services

  • Demonstrated experience in clinical leadership and MDT working

  • Evidence of ongoing Continuing Professional Development

  • Strong communication, organisational and IT skills

  • Ability to work across community, outreach and home-based settings

  • A compassionate, pragmatic and person-centred approach to care


Desirable Experience

  • Training in Positive Behaviour Support, sensory integration or autism-specific practice

  • Experience working with individuals affected by homelessness, trauma or addiction

  • Experience in service development, quality improvement or change management


Salary & Benefits

  • €61,443 per annum

  • 35-hour working week (part-time considered)
