Registered Nurse jobs in the Intensive Care Unit with Fiona Stanley Hospital in Perth (Murdoch), Western Australia.
This is a recruitment pool for permanent full time, permanent part time, fixed term full time, and fixed term part time appointments, with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.
We are seeking experienced critical care nurses who are willing to join a dynamic and expanding work force. As part of a multidisciplinary team you will provide comprehensive evidence-based nursing care to patients as well as facilitate and promote patient safety and quality of care.
VISA sponsorship is available to eligible experienced critical care nurses wishing to relocate and join the team at Fiona Stanley Hospital – Intensive Care Unit.
Fiona Stanley Hospital (FSH), as part of the South Metropolitan Health Service (SMHS), is a 783-bed tertiary hospital offering a range of health services including the State Rehabilitation Service, a comprehensive Cancer Centre, purpose-built Mental Health Unit, Maternity, Paediatric and Neonatal services, and the State Adult Burns Service. FSH also delivers specialised services such as heart and lung transplantations and hyperbaric medicine.
The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Fiona Stanley Hospital provides a split ICU and High Dependency Unit (HDU) model. The unit provides tertiary level 6 planned services for the management of adults requiring post-operative intensive care, as well as emergency services for adults with life-threatening illnesses, injuries or complications. The 40 -bed unit is divided into 4 pods each with 10 beds. Each pod has a delegated cohort of patients and nursing staff are supported across their learning continuum to work across all areas and specialties. Staff are supported by senior critical care nurses in each pod and provided a structured and robust education and support model recognizing everyone’s prior learning.
The FSH ICU supports acute medical and surgical services including but not limited to the:
- State-Wide Adult Burns Service
- Metropolitan Trauma Service
- Cardiothoracic Surgery Service (Including Cardio-Pulmonary Transplant)
- Advanced Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplant Service (AHFCTS)
- Ventricular Assist Devices (VAD’s) including Impella & IABP devices
- Advanced Lung Disease Service (ALDS).
- Extra Corporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO)
- State Hyperbaric Medicine Unit
- Transport & Retrieval Services
