At Nurse Jobs Ireland, in partnership with our client in Dublin City Center, we are actively seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Registered General Nurse. In this role, you will report to the Clinical Nurse Manager and collaborate with a dedicated team to provide crucial services to the local community, supporting individuals dealing with drug addiction, recovery, and homelessness.

Position Details:

  • Job Title: Registered General Nurse
  • Location: Dublin City Center
  • Job Type: Full-time, Permanent (39 hours a week), working Monday to Sunday
  • Salary Range: €39,000 – €43,000 (DOE)

Must Haves: To be considered for this role, you should:

  • Be an active Registered General Nurse, registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland.
  • Possess a minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience in a medical/nursing setting.
  • Desired: Experience working in a similar setting (training can be provided).
  • Be computer literate with knowledge of IT systems and CRM reporting.

Job Responsibilities: As a Registered General Nurse, your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering comprehensive and safe nursing care.
  • Managing and administering medical supplies per NMBI guidelines.
  • Assisting doctors with assessments and examinations.
  • Conducting nursing tasks, including dressings, blood work, and health promotion.
  • Liaising with various service providers for client referrals and maintaining relationships with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Contributing to holistic care for homeless individuals.
  • Participating in policy and procedure development related to nursing duties.
  • Working within the client’s policies and ensuring service quality standards.
  • Collaborating as a team member and supporting colleagues.
  • Promoting learning and development programs in addiction services.
  • Adhering to nursing legislation and consulting with other healthcare professionals when needed.
  • Performing comprehensive assessments, providing evidence-based care, and triaging clients.
  • Enhancing service users’ dignity and self-esteem through appropriate support.
  • Engaging in clinical support and supervision.
  • Encouraging teamwork among clients.
  • Completing administrative tasks, maintaining accurate records, and filling out relevant forms.
  • Contributing to data collection for performance indicators.
  • Attending training sessions and engaging in professional development.
  • Ensuring compliance with the client’s policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Participating in supervision and staying updated on professional issues.
  • Assisting with any other reasonable duties as requested by the Manager.
